Privacy Policy

What we collect

• The resume file and text content you upload for scanning.
• An optional job description you paste or upload, if you use job-description matching.
• Basic account information (email address and authentication identifiers) if you sign up, managed by our authentication provider, Clerk.
• Payment details if you subscribe to Pro, handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe - we never see or store your card number ourselves.
• Standard, aggregate usage analytics (see “Analytics” below).

How we use it

Your resume and, if provided, the job description are used to compute your ATS compatibility score and Job Match score. That scoring is deterministic - run by our own rules engine on our own servers - not generated by an AI model, and never influenced by your plan.

If you are a Pro subscriber and you explicitly request an AI-assisted rewrite suggestion for a specific bullet, summary, or keyword, a limited excerpt of your resume evidence relevant to that one request is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely to generate that suggestion. This only happens when you take that action - never automatically, never in the background, and never for Free-plan or anonymous (not signed in) use. Anonymous and Free-plan scans never involve an AI provider at all.

We never sell your data, and we don't use your resume or job description content to train any model.

Where things are stored

Uploaded resume files are stored in Cloudflare R2, a private object store. Files are never made public and have no public URL - every access goes through our own authenticated servers, scoped to your account (or your anonymous session, before you sign up).

Your scores, findings, and account records are stored in our own database.

Retention & deletion

If you have an account, you can delete an individual analysis (and its associated resume file) at any time from your dashboard - this permanently removes the stored file and the analysis record. You can also delete your entire account from your account settings, which removes all of your resumes, job descriptions, analyses, and subscription data.

Resumes and job descriptions uploaded anonymously (before signing up), along with the scores and findings generated from them, are automatically and permanently deleted 30 days after upload if never claimed by an account. Signing up (or signing in) before that window closes, from the same browser session, claims that data into your account, where it's then covered by the account rules above instead of this 30-day window. If you scan without an account and want a specific upload removed sooner, contact us using the address below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate product usage (for example, which pages are viewed and whether an upgrade prompt was shown or clicked). These events carry plan status, score ranges, and similar non-identifying, non-content metadata only - never your resume text, job description text, name, email, phone number, or any AI-generated suggestion text.

What we don't claim

ATSConfirm is not certified under HIPAA, SOC 2, or any similar framework. A high ATS or Job Match score does not guarantee that any particular applicant tracking system will process your resume a certain way, and it does not guarantee an interview or a job offer. AI-generated suggestions are drafts for you to review, not verified facts, and are never applied to your resume automatically.
